APIC Greater NY Chapter 13 convenes on the 3rd Wednesday of each month (except July and August) at Lenox Hill Hospital, in the Michael S. Bruno, MD Presentation Room - 1st Floor, 130 East 77th Street, NY NY 10075.

2:30 pm Education Program (open to all, members & guests)
3:30 pm Membership Meeting (open to all, members & guests)

May 15, 2013 - SSI Prevention:  Preparing for the Future by Going Back to the Basics by Kathleen Kohut RN MS CIC CNOR. Lunch will be sponsored by representative Keith Liansi of 3M. Meeting is at 2:30 pm - Lenox Hill Hospital - Presentation Room. Membership meeting will follow at 3:30 pm.

March 20, 2013 - Panel Presentation on Superstorm Sandy:
IPC Roles in Management, Recovery, and Reopening of NYC-area Hospitals - Special thanks to experts from within our own chapter:  Faith Skeete from NYU Langone Medical Center, Susan Marchione from Bellevue Hospital, Debbie Hirsch Temple & Elizabeth Maccario from the NYC and Brooklyn VAMC, & finally Robin Haag, from Coney Island Hospital! Thank you, too, for sharing your presentations with the chapter!

February 20, 2013 - 2:30 pm - Thank you to Pat Posa RN BSN MSA FAAN, System Performance Improvement Leader, St.Joseph Mercy Health System, Ann Arbor, MI. for her excellent presentation titled: "Eliminating Central Line Associated Blood Stream Infections:  The Journey to Zero." Thank you Pat for your your great presentation and sharing your slides with us.

January 16, 2013 - Topic: Preventing Surgical Site Infections: "Role of the Central Sterile Department," presented by Jacqueline Daley, HBSc, MLT, CIC, CSPDS, Director of Infection Prevention and Control at Sinai Hospital, Baltimore, Maryland. Thank you Jacqueline for being willing to come back to our chapter after our cancelled November 2012 meeting and a special thank you for sharing your wonderful presentation with us.

June 19, 2013 - George Allen & Barbara Smith will present on Infection Prevention & Control in Ambulatory Care.

September 18, 2013 - George Allen will present a summary from the June 2013 national APIC Conference in Ft. Lauderdale, FL as the chapter's 2013 Sherry Chisholm Award winner.
